The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- The Zambian government has signed its first-ever Public-Private Partnership (PPP) concession agreement with the construction of an 85-kilometer road at a cost of 180 million U.S. dollars.

The deal was signed with Groupe Europeen De Development Project Africa Limited for the construction of the Kalunda-Mwenda Road in Luapula Province. The road cuts through the Democratic Republic of Congo. (ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL)

-- Zambia's sole glass manufacturing plant was set for commissioning in October this year following the successful installation of new modern glass manufacturing equipment.

The Kapiri Glass Manufacturing Factory, situated in central Zambia's Kapiri Mposhi district, was shut down in 1998 due to the weak market for glass bottles following the liberalization of the economy. (DAILY NATION) Endit
