British FTSE 100 rose 0.79 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.79 percent, or 53.31 points, to 6,793.47 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 7.88 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Paddy Power Betfair, Hargreaves Lansdown, BHP Billiton and Standard Life increased by 3.62 percent, 3.20 percent, 3.16 percent and 3.08 percent respectively.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.19 percent, following by Fresnillo (3.58 percent), Randgold Resources (3.01 percent), Pearson (1.23 percent) and National Grid (1.16 percent). Endit
