Japan's Ozaki Risa beats Schiavone for semi-finals at WTA Jiangxi Open

Ozaki Risa of Japan rallied from one set down to beat Francesca Schiavone of Italy 5-7, 6-1 and 6-2 to advance to semi-finals of the WTA Jiangxi Open here on Friday evening.

The Japanese won the match in two hours and 10 minutes, saying that "my opponent is quite strong, and I am very happy with the win."

In other matches, Japan's Nara Kurumi who got her first WTA singles champion in 2014 Rio de Janeiro Open, first won 7-5, 6-4 over Chang Kai-chen of Chinese Taipei, which was delayed from Thursday, then lost to Duan Yingying of China 6-1 and 7-5.

Also on Friday, Eguchi Misa of Japan beat Liu Fangzhou of China 6-1, 6-2 and King Vania of the United States stopped Zhang Kailin of China 6-0, 6-4. Endit
