Xinhua, August 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

A Chinese company will complete a takeover of English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, the club announced on Friday.

Chinese investment group Yunyi Guokai (Shanghai) Sports Development Limited and West Bromwich Albion have reached agreement on the takeover, subject to approval by the league and English financial authorities.

But no financial details have been disclosed so far.

Jeremy Peace, who had been West Brom's chairman for 14 years, said: "I believe this deal will enable Albion to build on the strong, sustainable foundations that have been the cornerstone of the club's progress." Endit
