Spartak regroup for Samara after European flop

Russia's Spartak Moscow, who top the domestic league on goal difference, are eager to bounce back from their midweek Europa League loss when they host Samara on Monday.

Spartak, who crashed out of Europe following a 2-1 aggregate defeat to AEK Larnaca of Cyprus, are looking to build on a 4-0 rout of Arsenal Tula in last weekend's Russian Premier League season opener.

Spartak manager Dmitry Alenichev was furious after watching his side concede a crucial late goal in the Europa League and said he expected his men to approach the match against Samara with full concentration. Endit
