Seoul shares end higher

Seoul shares ended higher on Friday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) advanced 17.91 points, or 0.9 percent, to settle at 2,017.94. Trading volume stood at 286 million shares worth 4.1 trillion won (3.7 billion U.S. dollars).

South Korea's currency finished at 1,110.4 won against the greenback, up 3.6 won from Thursday's close. Endit
