Vietnam to build bridge linking two southern localities

The Vietnamese government has green-lighted a plan to build Cat Lai Bridge linking Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province, with total investment of 5,700 billion Vietnamese dong (255 million U.S. dollars), the municipal authorities said Friday.

The bridge will have at least 4 lanes and length of 4km, stretching from the city's District 2 to the province's Nhon Trach District. It will replace the current ferry service.

The government has also agreed on the construction of a 4-lane bridge linking the two districts of Can Gio and Nha Be in Ho Chi Minh City, with total investment of some 5,300 billion Vietnamese dong (237 million U.S. dollars). Endit
