Watford winger Berghuis loaned to Feyenoord

Feyenoord attracted Dutch international Steven Berghuis on a one year loan deal from Premier League club Watford on Monday.

After three seasons at AZ Berghuis moved to Watford last year. His move was no success. The 24-year-old winger only played 9 league matches, all as a substitute.

"I really wanted to go to Feyenoord and I am happy to be here," Berghuis said on the Feyenoord website.

"Feyenoord had interest for some time, but I wanted to go for my chance at Watford. It came out I had no perspective of playing my favorite position, right winger. Here I do get that chance," he added.

Despite his disappointing season with Watford, Berghuis received a call-up for the Dutch national squad by the end of last season. The former FC Twente and VVV forward played his second and third international against Poland (2-1 win) and Austria (2-0 win). Enditem
