JSE closes in red Friday

Share prices on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) continued their weak performance of the past week on Friday and closed the week slightly lower.
The All-share index was on 0.91 percentage lower to stand at 52,797.58 points Friday, which was also lower than the 53,292 points on which it started the week.
The blue chip Top 40-index was trading at 45916.48 points, which is about 1.02 percent lower.
The resources index was 2.06 percent lower, while gold also lost 1.33 percent. The industrial and financial indices were barely in the black.
Platinum shares were trading lower after several platinum shares reached 52-week highs on Thursday.
AngloGold Gold fell 0.92 percent to R303.13 while Royal Bafokeng Platinum slid 1.94 percent to R51.15. Endit
