China on alert for mountain floods

Torrential rain may cause mountain floods in parts of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Yunnan Province and Tibet from Wednesday night to Thursday night.

The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) issued the warning and asked local authorities to closely monitor and prepare for any disasters.

The CMA also continued its blue alert for Typhoon Mirinae, which will bring gales to the Beibu Gulf and heavy rain to parts of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yunnan from Wednesday night to Thursday night. Endi
