1st LD: 31 killed, over 100 injured in bomb attack in Syria's Qamishli

At least 31 people were killed and over 100 others wounded when twin bombings rocked the predominantly-Kurdish city of Qamishli in northern Syria on Wednesday, pan-Arab al-Mayadeen TV said.

The report said that the death toll is still preliminary, as the authorities in Qamishli is urging people to donate blood for the wounded people many of whom are in critical conditions.

The blasts in Qamishli rocked near a security headquarters of the Kurdish Assayish security forces and another Kurdish forces outpost.

Qamishli, largely controlled by the Kurds, has been the target of repeated bombings by the Islamic State (IS) terror group, due to the enmity and clashes between the Kurdish fighters of the U.S.-backed People' Protection Units and the IS. Endit
