Chinese shares close lower Wednesday

Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.91 percent at 2,992 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index closed 4.11 percent lower at 10,405.85 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, shed 5.45 percent to close at 2,155.39 points. Endi
