Two more people arrested in France over links with Nice attacker

Xinhua, July 26, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two more people were arrested in France over their presumed links with the Bastille Day massacre in Nice which left 84 people dead, local media reported on Tuesday.

The two men were placed under custody in southern France and investigators were trying to determine whether or not the attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, had received logistical support from them, news channel BFMTV reported.

Prosecutor Francois Molins has said that Bouhlel had prepared the attack for months with help of accomplices.

Four men and a woman, who were believed to have been involved in the preparation of the attack, have already been placed under formal investigation.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Eight months after gunmen killed 130 people in Paris, the Nice attacker plowed a heavy truck into crowds on Bastille Day, killing 84 people and injured 300 others before being shot dead by police officers. Endi
