U.S. dollar rallies against other major currencies

The U.S. dollar soared against other major currencies on Friday as recent economic data from the country came out overall positive, spurring market expectation for an interest-rate hike later this year.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.0956 dollars from 1.1017 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 106.09 Japanese yen, higher than 105.90 in the previous session. Enditem
