Peterhansel wins Silkway Rally 13th stage

The Silkway Rally concluded its 13th and the last but one selective stage here on Friday with Stephane Peterhansel from Peugeot in domination.

Peterhansel, the 12-time Dakar Rally champion, clocked 4 hours, 50 minutes and 5 seconds to win the 367km selective section from Alashan to Wuhai. Yazeed Mohamed from Mini All4 Racing and Cyril Despres ranked second and third respectively.

After this stage, Despres boosted his champion hopes as he extended his lead in overall standings to 31 minutes and 27 seconds.

Chinese driver Han Wei ranked 8th in 5:16:37 and still maintained 6th in the overall standings.

The last stage will take place between Wuhai and Hohhot over a distance of 754km. Endit
