Indian stocks close higher

Indian stocks closed higher Friday as buying interest in heavyweights such as HDFC, Tata Motors and Reliance Industries overshadowed weakness in the banking space.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,803.24, 92.72 points or 0.33 percent up from previous close of 27,710.52, with a turnover of 441.09 crore rupees (about 65.7 million U.S. dollars). Endit
