Indian stocks close lower

Indian stocks closed lower Thursday as disappointing earnings from banking giant HDFC BankBSE and Kotak Mahindra Bank weighed heavy on investors' sentiment.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,710.52, 205.37 points or 0.74 percent down from previous close of 27,915.89, with a turnover of 647.21 crore rupees (about 96.3 million U.S. dollars). Endit
