Chinese FM to attend ASEAN-related meetings in Laos

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a series of meetings of foreign ministers from July 24 to 27 in Vientiane, capital of Laos.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang made the announcement at a daily press briefing on Thursday.

Wang will meet with foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as those of the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum.

Wang was invited by his Laotian counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith. Laos currently holds the rotating chair of ASEAN. Endit
