British FTSE 100 rises 0.47 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.47 percent, or 31.62 points, to 6,728.99 points.

Share price of St James's Place increased by 4.54 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Legal & General Group, Sage Group, Admiral Group and Standard Chartered increased by 3.08 percent, 3.03 percent, 2.84 percent and 2.61 percent respectively.

Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.82 percent, following by Fresnillo (3.09 percent), Randgold Resources (2.57 percent), BHP Billiton (2.33 percent) and Glencore (2.06 percent). Endit
