United Arab Emirates (UAE) employers hiring more than 50 people will soon be required to provide free lodging to labors earning less than 2,000 dirham (545 U.S. dollars) a month, state news agency WAM reported on Monday.

The policy, which was made following "recent studies related to the labor market," will be enforced as of December, WAM said, quoting Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation Saqr Ghobash.
