Multiple minor earthquakes jolt Taiwan

Five earthquakes hit Taiwan on Saturday between 9:19 a.m. and 4:52 p.m., according to the island's weather bureau. No damage or casualties have been reported from these quakes.

A magnitude-4.1 earthquake, the strongest of the five, jolted Miaoli County at 9:19 a.m., with a depth of 3.5 kilometers, according to data released by the bureau.

Yilan County was hit by the following three earthquakes, with their magnitude measured at 4.0, 3.9 and 3.5 respectively. The three quakes occurred at depth ranging from 19 kilometers to 24.5 kilometers.

Another magnitude-3.5 earthquake jolted Chiayi County at 4:52 p.m., with a depth of 21.4 kilometers, according to the bureau. Endi
