British FTSE 100 rises 0.22 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.22 percent, or 14.77 points, to 6,669.24 points.

Share price of Ashtead Group increased by 1.80 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Intertek Group, Persimmon, Johnson Matthey and GlaxoSmithKline increased by 1.64 percent, 1.42 percent, 1.39 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.

EasyJet led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.65 percent, following by Fresnillo (2.57 percent), Carnival (2.28 percent), St James's Place (2.14 percent) and RSA Insurance Group (1.79 percent). Endit
