Triathlon world champion Gomez Noya to miss Olympics due to injury

Five-time triathlon world champion Javier Gomez Noya of Spain will be missing the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after breaking his arm during training.
The Spanish triathlon federation confirmed that the star athlete fell while riding his bicycle on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old Gomez Noya won world titles in 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He also won a silver medal in London 2012 and placed fourth at the Beijing Games in 2008.
The men's triathlon event of the Olympic Games will be held on Aug. 18. Enditem
