The White House said on Wednesday the United States had sent additional U.S. military personnel to South Sudan to boost security of the U.S. embassy in the country.

"The first of these additional personnel, approximately 47 individuals, arrived in South Sudan on July 12, 2016, supported by military aircraft," said U.S. President Barack Obama in a letter to U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan. (US-South Sudan)

KIGALI -- The long anticipated Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) project is expected to set off next year, a top African Union Commission (AU) official revealed on Wednesday.

Fatima Acyl, the Commissioner for Trade and Industry said that CFTA projects has secured 20 million U.S. dollars funding for the initial plans that comprises of trade in goods, trade in services, investment and intellectual property. (AU-Summit)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israel is undergoing a "revolution" in its relations with Arab states in the region.

Speaking at a military graduate ceremony in the National Security College on Wednesday evening, Netanyahu said that Israel is witnessing a "revolution in relations with important Arab states," adding the normalization can, in its turn, push forward a peace deal with the Palestinians. (Israel-Arab)
