China's women table tennis Olympic squad, namely Li Xiaoxia, Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen, recorded comfortable wins over their respective opponents in a team warmup here on Wednesday.

Olympic defending champion Li beat Ren Hao 11-6, 10-12, 11-1, 6-11, 11-7, 11-7, while Ding, the world champion, eased past Yan Sheng 9-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-8, 11-7.

"Li was a little bit impatient in the match. From my view, she has done a great job, but she didn't feel satisfied herself," said Kong Linghui, the team's head coach.

"Ding had a consistent play and she also improved a lot in doubles," Kong added.

World No. 1 Liu swept Mu Zi 13-11, 11-7, 11-9.

"I played to my 70% to 80%. I once trailed in the first and third games, but I managed to keep my concentration and play point by point," said Liu.

Later, Ding and Li, the 2015 World Championships runners-up, beat Mu Zi and He Zhuojia in doubles 14-12, 7-11, 13-11, 11-6.

The team is scheduled to fly back to Beijing on Friday, before heading to Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 21 for adjustment en route to the August Rio Olympic Games. Endit
