Barca confirm Umtiti signing

FC Barcelona confirmed the signing of French international defender, Samuel Umtiti on Tuesday lunchtime.

Umtiti, who played in France' s 1-0 defeat to Portugal in Sunday' s 2016 European Championship final, will replace Marc Bartra who has joined Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old cost 25 million euros (around 27.5 million US dollars) from Olympique Lyon and has signed a five-year contract with a buyout clause set at 60 million euros.

Umtiti becomes Barcelona' s second signing of the summer following the return of former B-team player Denis Suarez who moved back to the club following spells with Sevilla and Villarreal. Endit
