Germany's benchmark DAX index jumps 2.24 pct

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday advanced and closed at 9,629.66 points.

The United States created 287,000 more jobs in June, over 100,000 more than forecast by analysts. It partly helped the blue-chip DAX index to recover 210.88 points, or 2.24 percent.

All the 30 DAX member shares gained. Thyssenkrupp rose markedly by 6.47 percent. Commerzbank added 5.78 percent. ProSiebenSat1 Media ended 4.9 percent higher. Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor producer, climbed by 4.62 percent. BMW went up by 4.33 percent.

Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 252.54 million euros (around 279.82 million U.S. dollars). Endit
