Senior CPC official calls for better publicity of Tibet

The publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for better publicity of ethnic unity in Tibet.

Liu Qibao, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, was in Tibet Autonomous Region from Monday to Friday, visiting the countryside, urban communities, lamaseries and publicity departments.

Liu said maintaining national integrity and strengthening unity among different ethnic groups are the focuses of work in Tibet. He called for more publicity for the central authority's policies in Tibet, and for education on ethnic unity.

He also urged local authorities to protect Tibetan culture. Endi
