Dollar in upper 100 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 100 yen zone in early deals on Friday morning in Tokyo, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 100.76-78 yen compared with 100.65-75 yen in New York and 101.02-03 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1064 dollars and 111.49-52 yen against 1.1059-1069 dollars and 111.40-50 yen in New York and dollars 1.1062-1064 and 111.75-79 yen on Thursday afternoon in late trade in Tokyo. Endit
