Macao's Tourism Office Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes told the press that the event has drawn many visitors to Macao for over two decades, and the tourism office will carry on to stage a wider diversity of fascinating events and help Macao become a world tourism and leisure center.

This year's contest has drawn many world-class firework companies from Thailand, Portugal, Britain, Switzerland, China, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Canada and Romania. The show will be held above the sea area across Macao Tower on Sept.3, 10, 15 and 24 and Oct. 1.
