British FTSE 100 rose 0.35 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.35 percent, or 23.11 points, to 6,545.37 points.

Share price of Royal Dutch Shell B increased by 2.95 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. GlaxoSmithKline, British American Tobacco, Royal Dutch Shell A and National Grid increased by 2.75 percent, 2.66 percent, 2.56 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.

Barratt Developments led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 9.79 percent, followed by Dixons Carphone (7.52 percent), Persimmon (7.18 percent), Legal & General Group (7.11 percent) and Taylor Wimpey (7.05 percent). Endit
