"Now You See Me 2" rules Chinese box office

"Now You See Me 2" continued to rule the Chinese box office, earning 257 million yuan (38.5 million U.S. dollars) in the week ending July 3, China Film News reported on Tuesday.

"Independence Day: Resurgence" stood in second place with 203 million yuan in sales during its second week in Chinese theaters.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" soared to third place after its debut on July 2 in China, grossing 170 million yuan.

"Bounty Hunters," a China-ROK co-produced action movie, landed in fourth place last week. It has raked in 117 million yuan since its release on July 1.

Rounding out the top five was Chinese film "So, I Married My Anti-fan", which has grossed 58 million yuan since hitting screens on June 30. Endi
