Spanish stock market falls 0.16 pct, closes at 8,255 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.16 percent on Monday to close at 8,255.90 points, down from the 8,268.90 points of Friday.

Mediaset shares led falls dropping 4.44 percent, followed by Gamesa, IAG, Mapfre, DIA and Amadeus, which lost 2.87 percent, 1.39 percent, 1.10 percent, 1.08 percent, and 1.02 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 2.47 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Acerinox, Endesa, Tecnicas Reunidas and Acciona which rose 2.34 percent, 2.03 percent, 1.48 percent, 0.99 percent and 0.94 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 129.20 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.15 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday's closing time. Endit
