Indian stocks closed higher Monday as the monsoon outcome and a more optimistic view on GST contributed to the positive market sentiment.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,278.76, 133.85 points or 0.49 percent up from the previous close of 27,144.91, with a turnover of 397.52 crore rupees (about 59.1 million U.S. dollars). Endit
