Colombian winger Jonathan Copete came off the bench to help Santos romp to a 3-0 home victory over Chapecoense in Brazil's Serie A championship on Sunday.

The 28-year-old netted less than 10 minutes after being introduced by Santos manager Dorival Junior at the Vila Belmiro stadium.

Copete joined Santos in May after impressing in the Copa Libertadores while playing for Colombia's Atletico Nacional. He now has two goals from as many matches for his new club.

Rodrigao and Yuri were also on target for Santos, who rose to fourth in the standings after Sunday's result.

In Sao Paulo, Angel Romero scored a brace as Corinthians routed Flamengo 4-0. Rildo and Guilherme were also on the scoresheet for the defending champions.

And a first-half strike from midfielder Douglas gave Gremio a 1-0 victory over their Porto Alegre rivals Internacional at the Beira-Rio stadium. Endit
