Xinhua, July 1, 2016 Adjust font size:

Four Hungarian military demolition experts are dead and one has been injured in an explosion at a bombing range on Friday, a spokesperson for the Central Investigative Authority told Hungarian wire service MTI.

Television channel M1 reported that the accident is believed to have occurred when a bomb they were attempting to dismantle exploded.

The bombing range is located within the Hortobagy National Park in eastern Hungary, and covers 4,000 hectares (about 9,800 acres).

Efforts have been underway for a time to clean up range, which hasn't been used since 1990, according to news radio InfoRadio. Enditem
