Indian stocks closed higher Wednesday on a buying build-up by participants, tracking a global rally.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 26,740.39, 215.84 points or 0.81 percent up from previous close of 26,524.55, with a turnover of 392.28 crore rupees (about 58.0 million US dollars). Endit
