Brazil international Hulk to join Chinese club Shanghai SIPG for record transfer fee

Xinhua, June 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil international Hulk arrived here on Wednesday and is set to join Chinese top-flight side Shanghai SIPG on a four-year deal for a record transfer fee.

It was reported that SIPG paid 55 million euros to acquire the 29-year-old forward from Russian league side Zenit Saint Petersburg, beating the previous record of 50 million euros when another Brazilian star Alex Teixeira signed for Jiangsu Suning, the club which recently bought 70 percent of stake in Italian Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan.

If Hulk passes the physical examination, he will formally join SIPG, the Chinese Super League (CSL) club said on its website. Endit
