A man was arrested Monday for allegedly carrying a bullet at the premises of the United States Embassy here, said local media Tuesday.

The local daily The Pioneer quoted police as saying the man, identified as Kaverdeep Singh Khera from the northwest state Punjab, was grabbed after security men found a bullet inside his pocket when frisking him at the entrance of the embassy.

Khera, who had come reportedly for visa interview, has been arrested by police and is being questioned by intelligence agencies for his motivation of entering the U.S. Embassy with a bullet, said the report. Enditem
