British FTSE 100 rises 1.23 pct on Thursday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, rose by 1.23 percent, or 76.91 points, to 6,338.10 points Thursday.

The share price of International Consolidated Airlines Group increased by 3.63 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, Antofagasta, Royal Dutch Shell B and London Stock Exchange Group increased by 3.61 percent, 3.60 percent, 3.08 percent and 3.05 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power Betfair led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.55 percent, followed by United Utilities Group (2.56 percent), Burberry Group (2.12 percent), Diageo (0.52 percent), and National Grid (0.44 percent). Endit
