Railway service to Cao Bang in Vietnam from south China resumed

A railway passenger service between Baise in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Cao Bang in Vietnam has resumed, local customs said Thursday.
The first train of the resumed service left Sunday.
The six-hour service was launched on July 18, 2013, but was canceled in December that year due to lack of passengers.
In recent years, however, demand for the service has grown due to increasing trade between China and Vietnam, according to an official with the customs of Nanning, Guangxi's capital.
China has been Vietnam's largest trading partner for 12 consecutive years. In 2015, Vietnam became China's second largest ASEAN trading partner.
Chinese tourist numbers have also soared, the official said. Endi
