British FTSE 100 rises 0.56 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.56 percent, or 34.64 points, to 6,261.19 points.

Share price of Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 4.07 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips.

Old Mutual, Provident Financial, Standard Life and St James's Place increased by 2.98 percent, 2.93 percent, 2.81 percent and 2.42 percent.

Associated British Foods led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.41 percent, following by Antofagasta (1.85 percent), Coca-Cola HBC (1.69 percent), Randgold Resources (1.01 percent) and Imperial Brands (0.98 percent). Endit
