Regions, states across Myanmar celebrate Aung San Suu Kyi's birthday by donating blood, planting trees

Members of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) across the regions and the states in Myanmar including Yangon and Mandalay on Sunday celebrated State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi's 71th birthday by donating blood and planting trees.

In Yangon, Suu Kyi's birthday celebration was held in conjunction with the inauguration of the new building of the headquarters of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) led by her .

NLD patron U Tin Oo cut the birthday cake in honor of Suu Kyi and inaugurated the new NLD building with the presence of Yangon Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and senior NLD leader U Han Tha Myint.

In Mandalay, Mandalay Chief Minister Zaw Myint Man called on all groups regardless of any figure and any race to unite and cooperate around Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also the country's foreign minister appointed after the NLD won the 2015 general election. Endit
