Turkish police on Saturday used tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons to disperse protesters against radical Islamists' assault in Istanbul on Friday night.

Over 500 people gathered in Cihangir Square in central Istanbul with beers in hands to protest against the attack and the government's excessive conservative and Islamist policies.(Turkey-Protest)

JAKARTA -- Three people were killed and four other went missing after flash floods and landslides hit central Java province in western Indonesia on Saturday, an official of disaster agency said.

Scores of flood-affected people have been evacuated to higher ground as the natural disasters stroke several districts, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, Spokesman of National Disaster Management Agency said.(Indonesia-Floods)

ALGIERS -- Algerian army has killed as many as 73 armed militants in different operations across the country in the past five months, the Algerian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

In its June issue, the Algerian Army's "El Djeich" monthly magazine specified that counter-terrorism operations that have been launched between January and May 2016, led to the killing of 73 armed militants.(Algeria-militants)

DAR ES SALAAM -- Fourteen Central Banks governors from eastern and southern African countries will meet in Tanzania on Monday to among other things discuss on the impact of the Chinese yuan's inclusion into the basket of reserve currencies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
