Second-half substitute Yu Hanchao scored a late goal as defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande were held 1-1 away to Yanbian Fude in the 13th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.

Yanbian broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Steve Trawally scored from close range after a pass from Ha Tae-Goon. The home team almost doubled their lead before halftime but Yoon Bit-Garam's corner-kick hit the cross-bar.

Evergrande managed to escape their second defeat this season thanks to Yu, who fired home from outside the box in the 87th minute.

Elsewhere, Gael Kakuta scored just 26 seconds into the match as Hebei China Fortune beat Tianjin Teda 1-0 at home.

Hebei China Fortune now stay second in the league table, three points behind leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.

The other six matches of the 13th round will be contested on Sunday. Endit
