Chinese midfielder Wang joins Portuguese side Cova Da Piedade

Chinese midfielder Wang Chu has joined Portuguese club Cova Da Piedade, it was learned on Friday.

The 25-year-old Wang completed the procedures for signing for Cova Da Piedade, which recently earned promotion to Portuguese's top-flight league, said the club.

Wang, a Chengdu native, expressed his joy on the social media over signing for Cova Da Piedade.

"Hopefully I can present some of my best performances in the new season," he wrote on his microblog.

Wang, who spent years training in the Metz club between 2004 and 2007, had previously plied trade for Luxembourg club Jeunesse Esch. Endit
