Myanmar, France vow cooperation in human resources development

Myanmar and France vowed cooperation in human resources development Friday during a meeting between Myanmar Foreign Minister Aung San Suu Kyi and her French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault.

Ayrault arrived in the Myanmar capital on a three-day visit on Thursday night. His trip is the first by a French government representative since Myanmar's new government took office.

The two ministers also discussed human rights, urban planning and other issues of common concern.

The French foreign minister also met with President U Htin Kyaw.

France stood as the 12th largest investor in Myanmar's foreign investment line-up with 541.610 million U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2015-2016. Endit
