Support of Central European Initiative states crucial to BiH's EU path: FM

Xinhua, June 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

The support of member states of the Central European Initiative (CEI) is very important in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)'s path towards EU integration, BiH Minister for Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak said Thursday.

Addressing a CEI foreign affairs ministers' conference, Crnadak said the next step for BiH would be obtaining a positive opinion from the EU Council of Foreign Affairs in July.

The migrant crisis and fight against terrorism are topics that will prove challenging to all member states of CEI, Crnadak added.

The conference was organized under the framework of the presidency of BiH over CEI.

Founded in 1989, the CEI is a regional intergovernmental forum committed to supporting European integration through cooperation among its 18 member states. Enditem
