China, Turkmenistan vow to deepen comprehensive cooperation

China and Turkmenistan vowed Tuesday to implement the consensus reached by top leaders of the two countries and further their comprehensive cooperation to boost bilateral ties.

Song Tao, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said when meeting with Turkmenian President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow that the strategic partnership between the two countries has promoted the comprehensive and in-depth development of bilateral cooperation in all fields.

For his part, Berdimuhamedow asked Song Tao to convey his good wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping, and said that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to its strategic partnership with China, and stands ready to deepen the strategic cooperation in such areas as energy to benefit the two peoples.

He also reaffirmed the country's steadfast commitment to the one-China policy. Endi
