Malaysian stock market closes lower

The Malaysian stock market ended lower here on Tuesday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at 1,626.11, down 3.66 points or 0.23 percent, and the Emas was at 11,398.14 down 17.00 points or 0.15 percent.

There were 278 gainers, 486 losers and 367 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover increased to 1.47 billion shares valued at 1.62 billion ringgit Malaysia(394.45 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.48 billion shares valued at 1.21 billion ringgit Malaysia(295.55 million U.S. dollars) on Monday. Endit
